Dr. Paul Niesen

Dr. Paul Niesen graduated from the State University of New York, School of Dental Medicine in 1990. After four years serving as a Captain in the United States Air Force Dental Corps, Dr. Niesen moved to Maryland with his wife, Candace, and started his general dental practice.

Dr. Niesen believes that all patients should be treated as family and provided with all options for their dental health in a compassionate, straightforward manner. As a clinical instructor and nationally known teacher and lecturer, he brings his expertise and experience into his daily interactions with patients.

Dr. Niesen lives on a historic farm, circa 1820, in Virginia with his wife Candace. He enjoys gardening, carpentry, and is a certified private airplane pilot.

Dr. Toral Patel

Dr. Toral Patel is dedicated to providing thoughtful, comprehensive dental care designed to restore and protect your smile for years to come. Her detail-oriented, patient-centered approach helps ensure each treatment plan is tailored to your individual needs and long-term oral health.

Dr. Patel earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Howard University in Washington, D.C., in 2018. Before moving to the United States, she practiced dentistry in India through 2015, bringing valuable international experience to her practice.

A lifelong learner, Dr. Patel regularly pursues advanced continuing education in endodontics, oral surgery, prosthodontics, and implant dentistry. She has also earned a Fellowship in Implant Dentistry and is a member of the American Dental Association, the Maryland State Dental Association, and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.

Outside the office, Dr. Patel has advanced training in yoga and meditation. She enjoys reading, painting, cooking, and spending time with her husband and children.

Clinical Coordinator

Kaley

Kaley serves as the office Clinical Coordinator and supports all aspects of patient clinical care. She joined the dental team in 2008 after Dr. Niesen recognized that her upbeat personality and attention to detail would be a great asset to the practice.

Kaley enjoys the personal relationships her position allows and makes every effort to help patients feel comfortable while in the office. Originally from Pennsylvania, she is a diehard Pittsburgh Steelers fan and lives near Frederick with her husband Mike and two children.

Office Administrator

Laura

Laura has worked in dentistry for more than 20 years in roles including Expanded-Function Dental Assistant, Office Coordinator, and Manager. She brings extensive knowledge of both clinical dentistry and office management to our team.

Laura has a passion for changing patients' lives through their smiles and looks forward to helping with appointment needs. Outside the office, she enjoys family and friends, volunteering, traveling, gardening, and cheering on Notre Dame and West Virginia sports. Originally from Michigan, she lives in Urbana with her husband Steve, son, and their two dogs.

Registered Dental Hygienist

Patty, RDH

A graduate of Allegany College of Maryland, Patty brings more than 30 years of dental hygiene experience to the practice. She is deeply committed to educating patients and recommending appropriate care that supports their long-term well-being.

Outside the office, Patty enjoys traveling to new places and curling up with a good book.
